The earth couldn’t believe what it heard
And stood still…
Until reality dawned in the form of absolute darkness.
The earth stood still for a while,
But started revolving around the Sun
Again and again
In hope of a ray of light,
But there was only numbness;
A numbness of nothingness
That froze the core of the earth,
And turned it into an ice-ball,
Day by day, colder and colder,
The very next day, and the next and then the next,
And then…forever…
